Wilderness Island Safari, Sept. 2010

Author: Shufoy

Wilderness Island Safari Holidays bring you a week of hot piscatorial action in the Exmouth Gulf. Staying at the Wilderness Island Camp the area offers a plethora of different kayak fishing options, from Mangrove Creeks to Open Ocean, flats fishing to rock walls, sheltered areas in almost any conditions, as well as a scenic fishing camp, great food and amazing atmosphere.

See the reports and videos from our Trip up there this year in May for more information on the fishing.

The camp is run by locals Jim Alstom, Shane Wunyhm and Harry Butler, who offer their wealth of experience in fishing the area to put you onto the hot bite, and also Brett Ozanne(Shufoy) will be hosting the trip, offering his experience fishing the area. Wilderness Island is simply one of the best Kayak Fishing destinations on the West Coast, and this trip, well worth the expense. With a HUGE variety of species on offer including Queenfish, Mangrove Jack, Mackeral, Trevally of all varieties, Javelin Fish, cod and at this time of year Tuna and many many more.

Trip runs from 18th September, leaving Perth early, arriving in Exmouth on the Sunday morning, heading across to the Island by boat Sunday afternoon. Then spending the next 5 days fishing the waters around the island, and returning to Exmouth by boat on the following Saturday the 25th, returning to Perth the 26th. The cost is $2000.00 and includes all transport from Perth including Kayaks, overnight accomodation on the way up and back, and the 6 nights on the island and all meals.

Feel free to email/PM me for any further information, we have strictly limited numbers with only 4 places still available.
