Rapala dry bags

Author: josh

While reliable waterproof storage is on my mind right now I've been looking closely at various dry bag solutions, especially recently released equipment. Falling into this category are the new dry bags from Rapala, a couple of which are definitely noteworthy. One of these is a roll-top drybag with backpack straps on it, which is a pretty good idea. Anyone who has landed a kayak on a long steep beach while kayak camping knows what it is like to carry the camping gear clear of the beach sand. With a backpack like this one would be able to carry more, as the back and shoulders do the work on a bag like this, leaving hands free to cover other items. I ordered one of these in to have a look at and I'm pretty impressed with both the quality and the price (approx AU$90).

I also like the look of their roll-top duffle bag, which at 100 litre carry capacity, would make a great kayak camping storage bag that should fit nicely into the rear storage well of most kayaks.
