Sprayskirts for my Adventure Island

Author: Holger

A couple of weeks ago, a mate of mine made me some sprayskirts for my Adventure Island.Today I finally found some time to fit them on. I ran the lines from my RAM balls to the front handle, then out to the noses on the akas (the ones the amas are secured to), and then back to the Ram balls again. So far they fit quite well. I still have to add some finishing touches, like a stretch cord in the front, and a cable tie in the centre to hold the middle down and close to the hull. My goal is to make them easily removable, and not to drill any holes in my hull. The actual idea and the pattern I found at kayaking Bob's website here.

I am not sure yet how well they will work, if they will influence the nose diving or if they will catch the wind. To be able to answer all these questions I will need some wind on the weekend to give them a good test run. As soon as I have done this I will come back to you and let you know about the results.
