Kulkyne Pyramid crab trap

Author: JayPenfold

Since the theft of my last crab pot, I have been looking for a suitable replacement, trying to find one that suits the kayak style of deployment the best. Search no longer, the Kulkyne Pyramid crab trap is one clever chap. It folds flat for easy transport, very quickly can be assembled and baited.  The unique pyramid shape allows easy access for the crabs but not easy escape. Pretty impressed so far, can't wait to get one and put it through it's paces. There are two other models available, one for yabbies and another for lobster. The standout benefit for kayak fishermen is that when turned upside down, the net acts as a funnel to remove your catch, eliminating any need to handle bitey crabs by hand. At $37.95 each they aren't cheap, but I suspect they're worth every cent.
