Had a great morning on the Mooloolah River with Graham (TheBigGuy) and Doug (wombatx8). We spent our time around the trawlers and longliners and Graham tried up the canals for a while. My 1st fish came in the 1st 10 minutes and although legal it was certainly not breaking any records either. My companions had gone to the next section of the marina and I went to join them. Not much happened for a while until a trawler came in. I waited until it was moored and not moving and immediately took advantage of the empty births beside it. My berkley gulp shrimp hit my favourite target, right on the waterline.
I spent the next hour hanging around this trawler while they cleaned out the nets and threw numerous dead fishy morsels over the side. This certainly bought the fish around but with such a smorgasboard on offer, it wasn't as easy to interest the fish in a soft plastic. All in all we tried numerous places around the marina and I ended up with about 6 bream, 5 of which were not only legal but would have put me in a good position if it were a comp. They ranged from 25 to 35 to the fork and have proved to me one thing; My new revo has good mojo!
